Quality of Life

Shaw’s global headquarters is in Dalton, Georgia, the “Carpet Capital of the World.” Dalton is conveniently located just 25 minutes south of Chattanooga and 90 minutes north of Atlanta, right off of Interstate 75. Our location offers access to world-class amenities, such as shopping, dining, and entertainment, all within a short drive.

While it’s easy to get out of Dalton to enjoy Chattanooga and Atlanta, it’s always great to return home to a city that lacks the traffic and hurried pace of its big-city neighbors, while offering a lower cost of living than the national average. Dalton is a picturesque city, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The pace of life is laid-back and easygoing. Families are drawn to Dalton for its schools and quality parks and recreational offerings.

And the city has begun a multi-million dollar, long-range plan to turn the town’s center into a green-scape of parks and walking paths that will enhance the vitality of the entire city.
